1. What you get
Markdown Viewer is a local-first Markdown workspace, currently available as a Chromium browser extension. Core reading, workspace navigation, annotations, basic search, diagrams, mind maps, presentation, and basic HTML, Word, and print/PDF export stay free. Professional themes, skins, advanced search, professional output styling, Professional Word, and PNG long-image export are marked Pro but are currently unlocked during the promotional period. When promotional access ends, a license will be required to continue using Pro features; the free core remains available. The activation flow will be announced before that change.
2. License
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension. You may not resell or redistribute the extension itself as your own.
3. Your content stays yours
The extension processes the documents you open entirely on your device. We claim no rights over your content and, as described in the Privacy Policy, never receive it.
4. Third-party services
If you explicitly enable PlantUML rendering, your diagram source is sent to the rendering server you configure. Link previews fetch the destination page without cookies after consent, and remote document auto-refresh re-fetches only the document already open in your tab. These are the three optional network features described in the Privacy Policy; the rest of the core document-processing workflow stays on your device. A document can separately load external resources it explicitly references, such as remote images or CSS URLs, under your browser's normal privacy and cookie settings.
5. "As is"
The extension is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the extension, including loss of data or documents.
6. Changes
We may update the extension and these terms; material changes are reflected on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
